Network of Students and Young researchers in Development (NetSYD)

Welcome!

This website is provided by EADI. You may use and actively participate free of charge – our discussion group is open to any student and young researcher interested in networking in the field of development co-operation and development research and training.

EADI is a professional network of development researchers. Active members are experts in their respective field of study and contribute to specific activities of EADI, like the thematic Working Groups, EADI publications or conferences and seminars.

Since 2002, the EADI Constitution admits student membership. EADI is aware of the intellectual potential of young and energetic researchers and students and would like to support their commitment in development studies.

This site contains a dossier on relevant information and links for students and young researchers in the field of development and aims at promoting and facilitating networking.

The site will live from decentralised information input, so please contact us and contribute. Send us links, publications, events or whatever you think is of interest for this evolving “Network of Students and Young researchers in Development" (NetSYD).

Please give us your feedback. What is your field of interest? Which (online – or other) tools and activities would be helpful to you? Do you know any other (postgraduate) student networks that would be interested in co-operation? We will try to connect them.

The aim is to bring together different “constituencies” in order to form a well-informed, international, inter-disciplinary network of students and young researchers. This network could, but must not, be integrated into the EADI structure and form an official EADI (student) Working Group that could benefit from the EADI expertise, as well as from administrative and financial support of the association.
